For which applications are waterproof magnets recommended?
We always recommend waterproof magnets with a neodymium core when the magnet is used under water or under the influence of large amounts of moisture. Conventional neodymium magnets are usually nickel-plated. Although this coating is somewhat robust, a plastic coating makes the neodymium magnet much more robust.
The magnets are mainly used in the following areas:
- Aquariums
- Fixing rain protection outdoors
- Fixing objects in wet rooms / showers / baths
- Swimming pool technology
- Magnetic tool holder for outdoor use
Furthermore, the relatively soft plastic coating protects against scratches. This makes it a popular magnet on glass boards, whiteboards and other sensitive surfaces."
