The specification N52 is merely an indication of the magnetisation quality. The strength of a magnet depends on its shape and size as well as the respective magnetisation quality.
For magnets of the same size and shape, a higher magnetisation quality (indicated with NXX) means a higher adhesive force.
N52 is mainly used in applications where you want to achieve the highest possible adhesive force with the smallest possible size. Our so-called death magnets are usually magnetised with N52, as we want to achieve an extremely high adhesive force here.
