Self-adhesive magnetic tape is mostly used for surface mounting in trade fair construction. It can be found in almost every household, for example for closing fly screens on doors. The magnetic tapes also stick to each other. This means that 2 non-magnetic objects can be joined together. There are almost no limits to the ideas for hobbyists with magnetic tape. The magnetic tape can be easily cut to shape and length with scissors. Our magnet shop stocks the tape in various lengths and widths. Of course, we also stock coloured magnetic marking tape without an adhesive surface, which is ideal for markings. To permanently attach a magnet to a non-magnetic surface, we have the right adhesive.
Magnetic marking tape is available in various colours and sizes especially for writable use
Magnetic tape self-adhesive 10 mm x 1.2 mm / Magnetic tape self-adhesive 15 mm x 1.5 mm / Magnetic tape self-adhesive 50 mm x 1.5 mm
Simply practical: In this category you will find self-adhesive magnetic tapes made of plastic and strontium ferrite, a ceramic material. Please note that our magnetic tapes in this category are exclusively anisotropically magnetised, which uses a significantly higher adhesive force. DIY stores and competitors often sell ferrite magnetic tapes with isotropic magnetisation to save costs. These tapes usually have a lower holding force.
The difference between anisotropic and isotropic magnetisation lies in the preferred direction of the magnetic force. With the favourable isotropic magnetic tape, the force of attraction is directed in all directions. The anisotropic magnetic tape is aligned to one side and can therefore focus the adhesive force specifically on the required side.
For even stronger and more effective holding force, the neodymium magnetic tape is also suitable.
The ferrite magnetic tapes can also be combined well with each other, as they adhere to each other. This allows you to attach two non-magnetic objects to each other.
Important: The magnetic tapes are not suitable as an adhesive base for neodymium magnets. The tape can even be partially demagnetised if you place strong neodymium magnets on it.
In our shop you will find magnetic tape in various lengths and widths, by the metre or on a roll of up to 30 metres/roll, so there are a variety of options. Depending on the object, a correspondingly large piece of magnetic tape should be applied. This can be easily cut to size with household scissors or a cutter.
This means you can always apply the magnetic tape to the object in the right size to make it magnetic. It can then be used on metallic (or ferromagnetic) objects, such as steel cabinets in the workshop or a whiteboard, without any problems.
Simply cut the magnetic tape to size, apply it to the object using the self-adhesive film and you can attach an object magnetically.
As the magnetic tape is not a rigid magnet, but a flexible tape, you can use the tape to make corners, curves and much more magnetic.
Ferrite magnetic tape is very frequently used in the following applications, for example:
- Attaching fly screens to windows and doors (usually used on both sides here.
- Furniture construction / trade fair construction
- Hanging photos and other objects on magnetic walls
- Fastening signs that are temporarily hung up (lunch break, holidays, information signs)
- Limitation for hoover robots
- Production of small games
- Seminar design (all kinds of objects are easily made into magnetic foam material)
- Hanging up seasonal decorations (special offers, Advent calendars, Christmas decorations, etc.).
- Labelling shelves in the warehouse
