How to build a magnet gun
What do you need?
4 disc magnets Ø 20.0 mm x 4.0 mm neodymium N35 nickel-plated - 4.5 mm countersunk.
1 piece rod magnet Ø 4.0 x 25.0 mm neodymium N45 nickel-plated
In this application, we simply build a magnet gun with which you can easily shoot a magnet up to 5 metres away.1. To do this, we simply bring the 4 disc magnets with a hole together to form a magnet.
2. Now we simply insert the rod magnet carefully into the central opening of the disc magnets.
3. To shoot, press the rod magnet in with your thumb until
the bar magnet shoots out of the opening on the other side.Attention:
Always make sure that you are not aiming at people or animals. It is best to always protect your eyes with safety goggles.
To protect the bar magnet, you should only use the gun on carpet or a padded subfloor. If your projectile lands on a tile, it will break very quickly
You can of course also use other disc magnets or rod magnets for the application. It is always important that the rod can slide easily through the central opening of the discs
