Black lacquered ferrite magnet in disc shape

Small, inexpensive disc magnet made of ferrite that can be gripped and removed with two fingers thanks to its height of 1.2 cm. The ferrite magnet is painted black and therefore does not discolour like conventional ferrite magnets. It can be used in almost all environments and holds up to 800 g.

The advantages of painted ferrite magnets are obvious:

  • They are naturally corrosion-resistant and are ideal for all outdoor areas: in the garden, in the garage or in environments with high humidity, e.g. by the sea.
  • Thanks to the paint finish, the magnet has a smooth surface and cannot rub off.
  • Ferrite magnets retain their magnetic properties even at high to very high temperatures (up to around 250 °C) and are therefore suitable for applications in hot environments, e.g. in engines or ovens.
  • They are considerably more cost-effective than neodymium magnets, as they are made of readily available materials such as iron oxide and are easier to manufacture.

Ferrite disc magnets&nbspbelong to the group of ceramic materials. Ferrite is extremely robust. However, it can only be machined with a water cutter. This always results in the smallest unevenness or chipping, which is completely normal for ferrite and has nothing to do with "poor" quality. The black lacquer coating protects the magnet from further chipping.
