Whether hot, humid or outdoors: small disc-shaped ferrite magnet defies all environments
Our small, inexpensive disc magnet made of ferrite. It is cheaper than a neodymium magnet but also "weaker". A neodymium disc magnet has approx. 10 times the holding force with the same dimensions.
However, the advantages of small ferrite magnets are obvious:
- They are naturally corrosion-resistant and do not require any additional coating. This makes them ideal for all outdoor areas, such as in the garden or in environments with high humidity.
Maintain their magnetic properties even at high to very high temperatures (up to around 250 °C) and are therefore suitable for applications in hot environments, e.g. in engines or ovens. - Are much more cost-effective as they are made from readily available materials such as iron oxide and are easier to manufacture.
- Lightweight and compact magnet Weighing just 2 g, the magnet can be used unobtrusively in various projects
Application options for versatile requirements
- Home improvement and modelling: Ideal for attaching smaller objects or realising creative projects
. - Industrial use: Suitable for heat-resistant connections in production or mechanical engineering.
- Outdoor use: Stainless properties make this magnet perfect for garden or outdoor applications.
- Office and organisation: Whether notes, posters or lightweight signs - this magnet holds securely to magnetic surfaces.
Ferrite magnets not only score points for their price, but also for their exceptional resistance to heat and weathering. While neodymium magnets show weaknesses when exposed to moisture and high temperatures, ferrite remains stable and reliable.
